It’s been three years since that fateful day when I went to pick up Baby Girl. For those of you who aren’t familiar with her story, she was an owner surrender into rescue. I drove to meet the family and when I got there, I saw the tiniest pug sitting in the back seat. She may have been small, but she made up for it in sass. The family was really sad that they had to give her up, but she was too sick for them. From that day on, she has made a huge impact in our lives. We love you Baby Girl!!!

Please excuse the food on her nose, face, and ears. She loves to eat!

St. Pawtrick’s Day Parade

Sunday, March 13th, 2011

A local dog group organized a St. Pawtrick’s Day Parade along the river front. We have a great pug showing and it could have become a St. Pugtrick’s Day Parade. It was an absolutely beautiful day and there were probably over 100 dogs in all.

My favorite Chihuahua was there-Pasha! I snuck in a pet before she was able to bite me.

Along our parade route, we saw a pug and a min-pin on a balcony. They were barking like crazy at us. We would yell for the dogs to go get their mom & dad; and they would run inside barking and then run back out on the balcony. The owners never came outside though.

We have nick named Peaches “Super Big.” Violet’s nick name is “Big ‘N” so when Peaches came to us my husband would say the Big One needs XX. And I would say which Big One; which he would reply Super Big. Baby Girl’s nick name is “Teeny Tiny”. She is only 10lbs. This afternoon I caught Super Big and Teeny Tiny taking a nap together today. This poor dog bed is probably only big enough for Baby Girl, but the two of them managed to squeeze in next to each other. Or rather Baby Girl on top of Super Big Peaches.
