We got snow! I made the pugs and Chichi put on winter wear to go outside. This photo is Lola and me. Lola was not thrilled.

Thursday, October 10th, 20131000 PUG Photo Shoot
Tuesday, October 8th, 2013This is our BPF (Best Pug Friend) Pippa. She is having her photo taken for the 1000 Pugs Photo Shoot. We woke up super early to drive to Atlanta. Hung around most of the afternoon in the Marietta Square lounging on the grass waiting for Lola & Violet to get their turn in front of the camera. (I felt really bad for not booking a spot for Etta.) A portion of the sitting fee will go to SEPRA. We can’t wait for the final pictures. www.1000pugs.com
Is it too early for Christmas?
Thursday, November 17th, 2011The Papas are celebrating early. This time of the year gets so crazy so we had the pugs’ picture taken early at McKamey Care & Adoption Center. Happy Holidays from Violet & Lola
Pugfest 2011
Saturday, November 5th, 2011Pugfest! This event is the first thing that goes on my calendar each year. It is SouthEast Pug Rescue & Adoption’s biggest fundraiser. All I can say is that if you haven’t been, you are missing out! There are costume contests, vendors with all kinds of pug items, tables with SEPRA t-shirts, silent auction items, and raffles for fantastic items. But the best thing is ALL the pugs! There are pugs in all shapes and sizes. www.rescuepug.com
Happy 7th Birthday Lola
Tuesday, April 5th, 2011Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday Dear Lola, Happy Birthday to you! We love you Lola Bug!
Hey everyone, my 7th Birthday was Saturday, but my mom was too busy so we had to wait until Sunday to celebrate. I got my very own candle that looked like a cake. I sniffed it, but did not try to eat it. The best part was that I got a bone with my name on it written in purple icing. I was nice and let Peaches have some and she tried to hog the whole thing. My sisters and I got to play outside since the weather was so nice. My mom did give us a bath, which was really not my idea of a fun party. I can’t wait to see what this year brings. Love, Lola
St. Pawtrick’s Day Parade
Sunday, March 13th, 2011A local dog group organized a St. Pawtrick’s Day Parade along the river front. We have a great pug showing and it could have become a St. Pugtrick’s Day Parade. It was an absolutely beautiful day and there were probably over 100 dogs in all.
My favorite Chihuahua was there-Pasha! I snuck in a pet before she was able to bite me.
Along our parade route, we saw a pug and a min-pin on a balcony. They were barking like crazy at us. We would yell for the dogs to go get their mom & dad; and they would run inside barking and then run back out on the balcony. The owners never came outside though.
Purple Pug Penny Party
Sunday, February 6th, 2011Today was Chattanooga Pug’s annual Purple Pug Penny Party at Aunt Sue’s K-9 Bakery. Aunt Sue’s has been hosting our February pug social for over 4 years now. We take this opportunity each year to collect pennies, nickels, dimes, and dollars for pug rescue. We divide the funds among SouthEast Pug Rescue & Adoption and Mid-Atlantic Pug Rescue. For the pugs in rescue, literally every dollars helps. Thanks to everyone who came out to support pug rescue.
This year, I took Lola and Violet. This was Violet’s first pug social and I don’t know if she entirely knew what to think about the other pugs running around. She is so quiet and laid back and we had several young pugs there running up and down the aisles.
We had another SEPRA pug who had recently been adopted –Valerie. Valerie has only been with her new family for 6 days. Thank you to her mom & dad for giving her a new forever home.
John Paul Pet Day or bath day
Sunday, January 30th, 2011I use Paul Mitchell hair products and my pugs use John Paul Pet products. While giving the girls a bath, I strategically placed their John Paul Pet oatmeal shampoo & conditioner in the background. Of course, Baby Girl was her usual obstinate self in the sink. Lola acts like I am torturing her. Violet just stands there like an angel and lets me lather her up and condition her down. I was afraid that Peaches would not fit in the sink, but she did and she was a good girl. It was an afternoon of pugs getting their hair “did” and pawdicures.
Lola’s working gig
Saturday, January 29th, 2011This was Lola’s second weekend in a row to accompany me for a pug home visit. I am not sure what she did today while I was gone, but by 5:00pm and when it was time for our home visit, she acted like she was exhausted. She wasn’t her normal Lola self and I swear, I had to apologize that she wasn’t being very social. Lola just wanted to sit in my lap. Oh well, I guess it was enough for her to just ride with me. Please adopt, don’t shop!
This is what my pugs do in the morning
Saturday, January 29th, 2011On any given Saturday morning while I am running around trying to get laundry started, dishes done, making a grocery list, etc; my pugs just lounge around on the couch. On a side note, I got the round dog bed that Baby Girl is sitting in at a dog show about 3 years ago. I bought it because of the cute canine print, but it has been the most covet dog bed by all the pugs. Thankfully, it is small enough that it can go in the washer because it gets a lot of use. We call it Baby Girl’s nest because she looks like a tiny bird sitting in it. Also we refer to her as a baby bird when she is squawking orders at us.
