This was Lola and my third year in the Main Street Parade. The first year it snowed, the second year it rained, but this year the weather was perfect. I think that Lola may actually be getting the hang of it too!. We had a fabulous day with Ashley & Pippa, Phil & Fritz, and especially Nic & Boggie!

Thanks to my mom for getting us the custom made monkey hats.

Vendors and open area for pugs to socialize

This was our set up; you know you are diehard pug fans when you come with your own tents!

Pugnic is Music City Pug Rescue’s annual fundraiser. It is an event for pugs and their people with pug friendly vendors, silent auction, pug rescue parade, pug costume contest, pug races, and much more! MCPR puts in so much time, effort, and work into making this event a success. Why? For the pugs! They rescue pugs in Nashville, TN and the surrounding areas to rehabilitate them and re-home them! Rescue pugs come from many places: shelters, owner surrenders, puppy-mill surrenders, and sometimes from the sides of the road. MCPR has foster homes for the pugs to live in while they are being evaluated on their personality, treated for any medical conditions, and while waiting on the right home to come along. The money from Pugnic goes to offset the rising cost of rescuing these pugs!

While this event is rain or shine, some scattered showers and wet ground did not keep away the true pug enthusiast! We came prepared with our tents, tarps, coolers, x-pens, and a good attitude. It is always so great to see the variety of pugs that come to show off their curly tails, crooked smiles, and fun personalities! And their owns who come to support rescue!
